Just keeps getting better

Wow, has dominic grown the last week or what! He is 9lbs 2oz and looks like a chucky monkey! He is so great to hang out with, he smiles when you talk to him, he is cooing and he can just hang out on the couch or bed and be fine with it. He can actually make his bouncer move now when he is in it, he used to be too lite. He can hold his head up pretty good and had just about outgrown his newborn stuff! I knew i would love being a mom, but this kid has far surpassed my expectations of how much i could love anything! I dont know if any other child could be any cuter. I finally decided on a video camera and it should be here soon so I can start capturing these precious moments.

Blessing

Dominic was blessed by his uncle Adam, great uncle Rick, Papa Terry and the bishop yesterday. It was a great experience. Aaron's brother adam put it together and had a delicious meal planned for the family after. We are so thankful for that, thanks everyone! MK let us borrow a blessing outfit, which looked like a dress on little D, just so you know it was not a dress.

Cousins

Here is dominic and his cousin Jake, who is 11 weeks older than D. Two opposite ends of the spectrum, Jake is a little over 4 months and wearing some 9-12 month clothing, and D is 2 months and barely fitting into newborn stuff. I love it!!

Looks who's wearing socks!!

That's right, Dominic can now fit into his socks. Well, 3 pairs of them. And he can wear his newborn pj's-but his feet don't make it into the foot things and he gets mad when they get stuck. Thus far in his life he has only fit into onesies. By fit, Im meaning clothes that I would actually take him out of the house in. I obviously put on all the clothes I can to play dress up, but they are all to big for public. And you can put his hair in the littlest mohawk, you can't tell from a picture-or else I would post one. Other than that Im pretty sure he is about to crawl. Whenever he is laying face down on my chest, he somehow scoots his way up and I have to catch him before he tries to scoot onto the couch. And he is so strong!! Since he was a few days only he can lift his head up and turn it off my shoulder! I guess this could be normal for newborns, but since he was a preemie, I figured he would be slow at everything. He seems to be on track, besides the feeding thing. I just love him! We are best friends and I love more than anything being home with him all day!!!

My friend Teresa, who is a photographer, offered to take pics of Dominic so she could get some newborn practice. So last week we headed to her house and dominic did great! He was awake for some and finally fell asleep for some too. He was kinda hard to pose, but didn't mind us trying to get him into a ball. Here are the final products and I love them! Thanks again Teresa, they turned out great!

Gettin bigger

Here is a newborn outfit I figured Dominic could maybe wear home from the hospital, and that's it. Well, lucky me ( i guess ) he doesn't even fit into it yet :) It is by far one of my favorite fit's for him that my grandma bought him! And he is sucking his thumb!!! I do not want a child that is a thumb sucker. He doesn't do it too often, and only for a few minutes, usually when he his hungry. Ill tell ya, this little guy is the most adorable thing in the world!
