Bridal shower #2

Pottery and Cupcakes :) This was the 2nd bridal shower I was blessed to receive and I loved it! My almost sister in law MK and another friend I have now in St.George, aubrie decided to do something special for me since I am becoming a Mrs. It was such a great surprise- I can't wait to do it again! They took me to 2 of my fav places, Brushfire and 25 Main. Brushfire is a place you can paint your own pottery, which I pretty much suck at, but sure had fun. I did a plate, MK did 3 little ice cream dishes and aubrie did an amazing job at her very own bowl of popcorn!
Then we went to this so cool restaurant called 25 Main, where they have the BEST cupcake I have ever had. And I dont really like cup cakes. MK's youngest chloe was there the whole time and i'm so glad I got to spend time with her.

Aaron is at his bachlore party this weekend, so I am getting ton's done with the wedding-which is 5 weeks away!!!

Feel Good Quotes

I'm a quote junkie. I love the small books you find with quotes in them that always make you cry, usually on your way out of Barnes that you just can't help but pick up and read. I think I like them mostly cuz I have a hard time reading long novels. I'm not very patient and like to get to the point. Here are some that always lift my spirits and remind me how lucky I am.

Before you were conceived I wanted you
Before you were born I loved you
Before you were here an hour I would die for you
This is the miracle of life.

The moment when you first wake up in the morning is the most wonderful of the twenty-four hours. No matter how weary or dreary you may feel, you possess the certainty that, during the day that lies before you, absolutely anything may happen. And the fact that it practically always doesn't, matters not a jot. The possibility is always there.

To laugh often and much;To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.

The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.

The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.

Road Trip

We took our first road trip together! It was not what I expected, singing along to madonna and cindy lauper with our hair blowing in the wind and my bandana blowing off my head into the wind, but it was fun. It was more singing along to michael jackson, watching aaron seat dance, and seeing how long I could listen to madonna before he turned it. We went to visit my grandparents, who have never met aaron. They wont be able to make it to the wedding and it had been a while since I saw them. They live in scottsdale, so it was a pretty ride from St. George. Our way there we went through lake powell and I believe some of the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The drive was beautiful!

I would consider moving to scottsdale for this mall. I don't want to talk to much about it cuz it makes me mad how great it is and I dont' live there. Here we are at a great restaurant where aaron tried edamame for the 1st time and actually liked it!!

On our way back we stopped at the Hoover dam, and it was big. There is enough concrete in the dam to build a highway from LA to NY twice or something like that-if you want the facts you will have to ask aaron.

Below is a european man wearing a hot pink shirt, hot pink and black shorts and hot pink slip on's. I thought it was pretty funny.

They are building a new bridge to get across the dam and it is HUGE!!!!

This will be the death of me..........

Centerpieces, who would of thought they could be so time consuming? I have been engaged for over 5 months now, I have seen centerpieces my whole life and I'm a decorating junkie.....how can I not know what I want in the middle of a table? I have spent my days latley looking on line until I can't click anymore at flowers. All types of them.......all colors........all sizes. I just had no clue........no clue at all. I feel I need to have at least 8 weddings ( all to the same person) just to get to do all I want with centerpieces. but I only have 1 wedding, and 10 tables. I could do 10 different things on 10 different tables, but I'm too much of a neat freak. I decided on 2 different, just to keep myself sain and from decorating the parking lot, just cuz i love so many. I decided..........i actually made a decision on my own about my wedding. I didn't ask everyone I know, I didn't even send pictures to anyone to get advice. I did it. The verdict: 1 tall and 1 short. 2 different flowers, 2 different colors, 2 sizes of vases. The only thing is, I'm scared. What if someone has a better idea, what if someone is like " oh i saw that at a wedding once and it sucked" or what if I discover in person it does look stupid!!! I have to do it, I have to get this centerpiece nightmare over with and pick. Here are pictures of what I want.
The talll ones will just be callalillies, very elegant and pretty I think.
The short ones will be a deep pink bunch of roses that the bridesmaids will have carried down the aisle. The pic i have is gerberas, which are a close second cuz i can't find a pic of the roses.

Now these are obviously not centerpieces, but these will be in the ceremony. They are called pomanders, just balls of flowers. They will be hanging from shepards hooks down the aisle! I can't wait :)

As requested.......

More pics of our house. It's kinda a weird layout, the master bed with full bath is downstaris, and kithen, half bath and family room. Upstaris is 2 more bedrooms, full bath, plenty of storage and the laundry room. It's actually pretty cool for kids, there are half doors in the 2 bedrooms upstaris for storage and one door leads into the other room. Kids love it!

Independance day!

We had a great 4th this year! Mostly cuz we had the whole day off! It started with breakfast in the new park at 9am, Our friends made ice blocks-which looked fun, but for some reason I wore a skirt? Then I was off the the veyo pool with angie and her son, which is filled with natural spring water- I still didn't go in- spring water still has 300 kids doing you know what in it. I just bronzed myself. Aaron was at angies house with her husband and other son putting up their pool-its a large pool only 2 feet deep, but does the job. And the boys also picked up and succesfully installed a mister system! You really need that with the heat here, in kirkland you don't need a mister system, maybe we should move back :) I don't if I am spelling mister right-but i'm sure you know im not talking about a guy. We had a great day relaxing, BBQ and watching fire works! I must say,. I was impressed with St. George firework show!
Below is aaron yes, but no he is not still wearing a shirt.

Where have I been??

I will tell you-in hopes to have the "WEDDING OF 2008" on the cover of people magazine, I have been working 60 hours a week at 2 jobs! And also in hopes of being on the cover of people's " 50 hottest bods of 08" been trying to work out as much as possible. I figure if the girls from Laguna beach, now the hills can do it-so can I. Might I also add, we moved and when I move I don't sleep until every picture is hung, plate put away, sheet on guest bed and bootsy nice and comfy. So that has been the last while of our life. However I have had this whole week of my second job in which I have to........on I don't know PLAN A WEDDING IN LESS THAN 8 WEEKS!!! Not that I haven't done all I could-but i must say I work better under pressure and am very indecisive, so when I realize I really have to make a choice it makes it easier.

I also had my bachlorette party in Vegas-great time! My friends from St. George drove me down and we stayed at a amazing hotel, 6 girls one king size bed, 1 large couch and 1 floor :) We were at the same hotel at Paris Hilton that night-however we were having too much fun to notice! My maid of honor came too from alaska! Here is a pic of the bed-i felt like a celeb, well maybe a c lister.

Bootsy just LOVES stairs! I had a feeling she would, cuz I like them too. But i mean she loves them. She will walk up them on the other side of the railing-kinda scary! Or she will lay on a stair and roll over backwards and attack anyone who walks up them with her little from paws! Other times I catch her spying on us from the very top....what a doll!!!
