My little guy

Turned 1 month yeterday!!! Holy cow, I have a 1 month old. He is such a blessing to our life, and I couldn't imagine anything more perfect! I still think of bootsy often, who was adopted. I don't know the guy, but plan on asking the place she was being boarded if I can get a hold of him. I wish I new what she was up to everyday. I love her so much too! Dominic had his 2nd Dr.appt toaday, he is 6lbs 1 oz, 19.7in and the cutest baby ever. So he has gained a little over a pound since leaving the hospital 3 weeks ago, and grown almost 2 inches. He also got circumsized, he held my hand the whole time and did pretty good. I think since the numbing has worn off this evening he has been having a hard time. I can tell I will need to sleep holding him tonight. My days are getting a little less hectic, im still working on a schedule and trying to keep the house cleaned. Since my mom got us a swing, that has made things easier. Now he can watch me while I clean. Aaron has been the best dad you can be, doesn't ask twice when I ask him to get me my phone or a drink that are 5 inches away from me when he is in the back bedroom because I can't get up if I am pumping or feeding. He loves to fall asleep with dominic on his stomach, and he loves holding him. Im still getting used to the whole mom thing, and don't feel much different. I thought I would feel different. I guess having considered bootsy my baby for 5 years, I have always felt motherly.

He's here, he's here

Well, i have a son, I actually have a son!! Nothing or no one could of possibly given me a glimpse of what to expect when giving birth, and that's what I expected. So I wasn't let down to say the least! It started saturday morning at 5am, my water broke, you could say it was what I imagined it to be like, however not august 8th. I was at the hospital by 7am, accompanied my aaron, who I told to go play golf like he planned but he insisted he come. I figured I would sit at the hospital for hours and be sent home. We took our time getting there, I packed a bag just incase, threw in a load of laundry and carefully picked out what I would bring our son home in, if this was the real thing. When we got to the hospital, I said I think my water broke, within the hour I was in the delivery room and by 9:36 my love was here! I had no contractions until about 8:30, when I was a 6 or 7, so I am pretty lucky. Actually I must be the luckiest girl in the world if I only had to go through an hour of that. With going natural, I can't imagine it being any longer. Not to mention the fact little Dominic was only 5lbs 2oz. We were in the NICU for 11 days, I spent all but 1 of those nights in the hospital, and aaron spent all but 3. As weird as it sounds I was not at all scared about him being in the NICU, i didn't have any bad feelings. I knew he was fine. Needless to say those days could also not of prepared me for what it was really like to have a child. He has been home for 2 weeks and it has been pure chaos!!!! What was i thinking I was going to have all this time on my hands not working!!! It could have to do with the fact I am pumping as well as breastfeeding, that takes up most my days. Dominic isn't getting enough while on my breast, so I pump and give him a bottle so I know he is getting enough food. On the other hand, It's absolutley amazing to be a mom. A little different than caring for bootsy, who I miss more than anything. Im so blessed to have a healthy baby and a cute home to live in, I can't complain!

29 weeks (but I think 30)

Baby shower #1

I had a baby shower!!!! That means I am actually going to have a BABY......OMG! I still can't believe it. I really really can't believe it. Im not at all upset about having a boy first, but still can't believe I produced one. I guess his dad had somin to do with it.

So about the shower. I have this sister in law, kendall. She has a sister in law, becky. Together they are my friends and the best girls to throw a shower ever!!! They put together a great time on saturday for me, and I love them! The games we played were perfect, all about celebrity moms and their kids, I won both :) I don't get why that is weird that i know so much about famous people's lives. It's a guilty pleasure for kendall and myself. The food was great, and I got my first diapers. They are so cute, which goes back to the fact that I still can't believe I am going to be in charge of a human can fit into a newborn diaper! I had such a good time, thanks girls!!

I am so sad I didn't get any pics of becky, kendall or I-so these are the best i could do :)

Golfing

I don't know what it is, I don't think Im easily persuaded, but I ususally end up enjoying the things aaron does. MMA (the cage fighting guys), basketball, football, and now golf. The first three for obvious reasons-there is usually food involved when watching-but I used to despise golf. If you catch me on a off day I will probably have a few choice words to say about it, but i think I actually watched 30 min of it and didn't mind!! So latley I have been wanting to go play at a real course with aaron, going to the driving range is a common occurance for us, but playing 18 holes, I have never! And i still never have, we finally went and I made it 3 holes. Which equaled about 30 swings for me ( your supposed to only swing about 4 per hole) It was a lot of fun, and I actually can't wait to go back! I love riding in the golf cart, It's a great way to get your legs tan with out your face and I can sit and try to catch the chipmumks while aaron's plays.

My husband

I know it's a little bit early, but I wanted to do a special Fathers day tribute to Aaron. I was going through my pics and realized I have so many of aaron, but I ususally just post pics with me in them :)

So, Happy early FIRST FATHERS DAY sweetie!!

I have to say how proud I am of aaron recently, but especially the past year. Everyone know's what a "rocky" (to say the least....im not ashamed) relationship we have had over 9 yrs in the making. It was febuary of 08' when aaron proposed and ill tell ya-he had a lot of guts to want to be in my family and he was just in time to turn his life around in a better direction. Aaron has had to deal with things that most people would of given up on themselves by now, but he keeps trying to make it. I love how he is so optomistic, sensative and caring. I can tell him anything and know he won't judge me. He gives me advice that I would never hear from other people, sometimes that's a bad thing....hehe, but other times it's just what I needed to hear to make the right decision. He want's more than anything to be a good provider for our family, and with times as tough as they have ever been, he is willing to do anything to do so. Luckily I am able to support my spending addiction on what used to be household goods and purses to now baby goods and maternity clothes, so aaron will never have to have that on his plate. But I know if that is what I wanted, he would do what he could to give it to me. He recently has started to quit smoking and started a 4 week workout course with his brother to get in shape!! I couldn't be happier, and he already has started to feel even better. So thanks so much for all you do my love. It means the world to me!
